The Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy – Pharmaceutics)

The Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy – Pharmaceutics) is a two-year postgraduate programme designed to develop advanced knowledge and research skills in pharmaceutical formulation, drug delivery systems, and related areas of pharmaceutical sciences.

The programme emphasizes research-oriented learning, advanced laboratory training, and academic development to prepare students for careers in pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, and academic institutions.

Duration: 2 Years
Eligibility: A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) at the qualifying examination.
Admission: The admission to the M. Pharmacy degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of a valid GPAT score. In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of GPAT, the vacant seats shall be filled on the basis of merit of the B. Pharmacy degree awarded by a recognized university.

Note: The minimum / cut-off marks required to seek admission to the M. Pharmacy degree course on the basis of the B. Pharmacy examination are as follows:

  • B. Pharmacy Examination:
    General Category – 55%
    Reserved Categories – 50%

Wherein the percentage indicates the marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree examination out of the total marks assigned to the examination.
