The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy)

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, drug formulation, quality control, and healthcare practices.

The programme focuses on building a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical training through classroom instruction, laboratory work, and academic activities. It prepares students for professional roles in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare sector, research, and further academic pursuits.

Duration: 4 Years

Eligibility: Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology subjects, securing at least 45% marks (40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.

Provided that the candidate should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

Admission: The admission to the B. Pharmacy first year degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of HPCET of the corresponding year. In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of HPCET, the remaining seats shall be filled on the basis of merit of the 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board or university.

Note: The minimum / cut-off marks required to seek admission to the B. Pharmacy degree course on the basis of HPCET and 10+2 examinations are as follows:

• HPCET Examination:
  General Category – 40 marks
  Reserved Categories – 30 marks

• 10+2 Examination:
  General Category – 45%
  Reserved Categories – 40%
